SURFACE-WAVE TOUCH PANEL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-wave touch panel capable of avoiding an increase in current consumption resulting from the scaling up of a drive circuit which occurs when enhancing a resolution.

SOLUTION: An interdigital electrode is formed on each of two sides which constitute at least one of two pairs of adjacent side end portions. The interdigital electrode is used for exciting surface acoustic waves. The effective cross width of the interdigital electrode is greater than the propagation width of an surface acoustic wave propagating through an effective sensing area on a transparent substrate.
