PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of saving power still further. SOLUTION: In the state a power supply is turned on, a timer circuit 25 counts an elapsed time from the time when an operation detection signal output is terminated after the operation detection signal is once output from a shooting system operation detection section 27. When the count reaches a predetermined value, a system controller 2 sends a command signal to a power supply circuit 24 to stop the power supply to an AFF driver 11 and an AE driver 12. When the operation detection signal from the shooting system operation detection section 27 is output again, the system controller 2 sends a command signal to the power supply circuit 24 to resume the power supply to the AFF driver 11 and the AE driver 12.
