PURPOSE: A positive electrode for a lithium-sulfur battery, its preparation method and a lithium-sulfur battery containing the positive electrode are provided, to improve the initial capacity of a lithium-sulfur battery. CONSTITUTION: The positive electrode comprises a current collector(1); a positive electrode active material layer formed on the current collector(2); and a polymer layer formed on the positive electrode active material layer(3). Preferably the active material is at least one selected from the group consisting of elemental sulfur, Li2Sn (n>=1), Si2Sn dissolved in catholyte (n>=1), an organic sulfur compound and a carbon-sulfur polymer (C2Sx)n (x=2.5-50, n>=2); and the polymer is at least one selected from the group consisting of poly(vinylidene fluoride), a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene, poly(vinyl acetate), poly(vinyl butyral-co-vinyl alcohol-co-vinyl acetate), poly(methyl methacrylate-co-ethyl acrylate), polyacrylonitrile, poly(vinyl chloride-co-vinyl acetate), poly(vinyl alcohol), poly(1-vinyl pyrrolidone-co-vinyl acetate), cellulose acetate, poly(vinyl pyrrolidone), polyacrylate, polymethacrylate, polyolefin, polyurethane, poly(vinyl ether), acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, sulfonated styrene/ethylene-butylene triblock copolymer, and polyethylene oxide. |
