PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inkjet recorder in which good multi-gray level halftone recording can be effected without using a plurality of inks having different coloring material densities for the same color tone. SOLUTION: Based on the ejection data of a recording head, UV-rays are emitted from a light source 401 only when the rotational position of a mirror 403 exists at such a position as an ink dot for lowering the recording density is irradiated with UV-rays. A dot-like irradiating point of substantially same size as a dot being formed on a recording medium 1 can thereby be formed and the recording density of ink dot can be varied by irradiating the point where an ink dot is formed again with UV-rays.
