PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce feeling of dynamic lively motion by reflecting a state of the operation of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In the meter for a vehicle, a pointer 56 is equipped with a light projection means 102, a light of the projection means 102 is projected on a character display plate 51, and the pointer 56 forms a gradation 100 of a moving light on the display plate 51. The light projection means 102 is equipped with a control part 101 which increases a luminous intensity when acceleration opening, engine speed or variation degree of the vehicle speed is large, and decreases the luminous intensity when the engine speed or the variation degree of vehicle speed is small.
