PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection system such that even when an image is obliquely projected on a screen, the projected image is not distorted without making the constitution complicated nor large-sized. SOLUTION: A projection lens which has a main plane 203c is provided at such a position and an angle that the optical axis 203 of the projection lens reaches a projection surface along a plane 103 perpendicular to the projection image which contains a diagonal a"-c" of the projection image 109 and an LCD 201 is also arranged obliquely to a plane 203b perpendicular to the optical axis 203 of the projection lens.
