PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method of driving the liquid crystal display are provided to prevent a luminance difference from being recognized by a viewer due to the boundary line dividing a display screen into upper and lower part in a dual scan mode liquid crystal display. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes the first, second and third gate line blocks, a plurality of data lines(D1,D2,DN,C1,C2,CN), and a plurality of pixels. The first and second and third gate line blocks are respectively composed of a plurality of first gate lines(G1,G2,Gn-x-1), second gate lines(Gn-x,Gn,Gn+x) and third gate lines(Gn+x+1,Gm) that transmit scan signals. The data lines transmit video signals and intersect the gate lines. The pixels are respectively formed in the intersections of the gate lines and data lines and connected to the gate lines and data lines. The data lines are divided into the first and second data lines on the basis of cutting points. The cutting point of the data lines are randomly distributed in a region corresponding to the second gate line block.
