PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impeller for a compressor, having no unwelded portion or irregular gap between a shroud and a vane. SOLUTION: After manufactured with electronic beam welding between at least one of front and rear shrouds 2, 3 and the vane 3, the impeller 1 is subjected to heat treatment in a vacuum atmosphere. As a result, diffusion bonding is applied between at least one of the front and rear shrouds 2, 3 and a bonded portion 1b of the vane 4. Even when the unwelded portion or the irregular gap due to welding distortion is produced in the bonded portion 1b during electronic beam welding between one of the shrouds 2, 3 and the vane 4, the heat treatment of the impeller 1 permits the diffusion bonding of the bonded portion 1b leading to almost complete bonding of the unwelded portion, thus positively preventing the entry of corrosive gas between one of the shrouds 2, 3 and the bonded portion 1b of the vane 4.
