PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the malfunction of a timer latch type protection circuit provided in a DC/DC converter caused by the short circuit, etc., on the load side of the DC/DC converter. SOLUTION: This timer latch circuit is provided in the protection circuit that the DC/DC converter has, and generates a latch signal to be used for the output control of a switching action control signal outputted by this protection circuit. Further, the circuit has an output abnormality detecting circuit which detects the output voltage abnormality of the DC/DC converter and outputs a detection signal, a delay time circuit 2 which delays the detection signal from the output abnormality detecting circuit 1 by a specified time and outputs it as a delay signal, and a switching output latch circuit 3 which generates and outputs a latch signal for stopping the output of the switching action control signal from the protection circuit, based on the delay signal from the delay time circuit 2.
