PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit mourners to incense after a correct incensing method is taught by recording an incensing method according to a denomination in a videotape or the like, and displaying this method on a display device, thereby teaching the incensing method to the mourners in advance. SOLUTION: The teaching device is equipped with a videotape 1 (recording medium), in which an incensing method according to a denomination has been recorded as an image, a video tape recorder 2 (reproducing device) for reproducing the image of the incensing method recorded in the recording medium, and a television 3 (display device) for displaying the image reproduced in the reproducing device on a screen.
