PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the operation for recording data delays when a defect block exists within a region where the data is recorded. SOLUTION: After the data required to be recorded in the defect region of the optical disk is temporarily stored in a buffer, the data is simultaneously and substitutively recorded in the spare region of the optical disk when the operation to record the general data ends or when the temporarily stored data exceeds the prescribed memory capacity, by which the continuous and rapid execution of the operation to record the generation data is made possible and the increase in the system load arising from the frequent track movement on the optical disk is effectively prevented.
