PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable high-pressure power unit capable of attaining a stable high-voltage output for each of apparatuses of high voltage power supplies by regulating variations in high-voltage output characteristics for each apparatus. SOLUTION: A PWM pulse having a constant OFF time is supplied to a switching transistor Q1 from a CPU1 for high voltage control to switch a primary voltage of a high voltage transformer T1, and a high voltage generated on the secondary side of the high voltage transformer T1 is rectified/smoothed for output. When a regulating mode by a high voltage regulator is started, the PWM pulse is outputted from the CPU1 at a plurality of different points of OFF time, and high-voltage output information obtained based on high-voltage output values outputted at the respective points is inputted into the high voltage regulator. The appropriate off-time of the PWM pulse supplied at the time of a stationary operation is calculated, and data showing the appropriate off-time are stored in a storage means 13.
