<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for culturing cells, utilizable for a cell-culture technique, cell sheet engineering or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The carrier for culturing the cells comprises a carrier having a cationic group such as an aqueous gel obtained by blending a chitosan with an aqueous gel of an anionic polymer, or an aqueous gel obtained by allowing an aqueous gel of the anionic polymer to absorb the chitosan, and a polypeptide-modified site in a sea-island state formed on the surface of the carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
