BIO-CHIP SCANNER CAPABLE OF EFFICIENTLY FOCUSING EXCITATION LIGHT ONTO BIO CHIP

PURPOSE: A bio-chip scanner is provided to improve performance of a system and to uniformly form brightness at a scan area by efficiently focusing excitation light radiated from a light source onto a bio-chip. CONSTITUTION: A bio-chip scanner includes a light source section(10). White light radiated from a white light lamp(13) is converted into excitation light by passing through a first condensing lens(17) and an excitation filter(21). The excitation light passes through a light guide(25) and is radiated onto a DNA chip. A hot mirror(15) is installed between the white light lamp(13) and the first condensing lens(17). The hot mirror(15) protects the first condensing lens(17), the excitation filter(21) and the light guide(25) from heat. The first condensing lens(17) includes an aspheric lens, which guide the white light into the light guide(25).
