PURPOSE: A travel safety insurance service method using a mobile terminal and a system thereof are provided so that a user can be insured for travel safety by using his mobile terminal before traveling. CONSTITUTION: A travel safety insurance service system using a mobile terminal is comprised of a mobile terminal(210), base stations(220-222), mobile switching centers(240-242), an ARS(Automatic Response System) center(250), an insurance service server(260), an insurance database(262), and an SMS(Short Message Service) center(270). The mobile terminal(210) accesses the insurance service server(260) according to a user's key input selection and subscribes to insurance by wireless according to a travel safety insurance procedure that the insurance service server(260) provides through the ARS centers(250-252). The base stations(220-222) and the mobile switching centers(240-242) form a mobile communication network and provide a communication access path so that the mobile terminal(210) can subscribe to the travel safety insurance of the insurance service server(260) through wireless communication. The ARS center(250) provides voice information messages for travel safety insurance subscription when the mobile terminal(20) accesses the insurance service server(260). The insurance database(262) provides voice information messages for travel safety insurance subscription through the ARS center(250) when the mobile terminal(210) accesses the insurance service server(260). The SMS center(270) converts a transfer message into an SMS message, based on an SMS message request from the mobile terminal(210) or the insurance service server(260), and transmits it to a receiving side. |
