PURPOSE: A brush holder assembly is provided to achieve improved operating reliability of AC generator and performance of motor vehicle by preventing performance degradation of AC generator caused due to the electrical short. CONSTITUTION: A brush holder assembly(3) comprises a slip ring accommodation unit(31) having a slip ring(30) press-fit to a rotor shaft(4); and a brush mounting unit(34) including a brush(32) supported by a spring so as to apply a battery power to the slip ring, and a terminal(33) connected to the brush so as to supply a battery power. The slip ring accommodation unit of the brush holder assembly has an inner surface with an inclined surface(37) formed in the direction same as the rotating direction of the slip ring so as to collect dust of the brush. The inclined surface has a slot(38) formed at the end thereof.
