PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder applicator, in which state of electrically non-conductive powder flowing in a connecting conduit can be monitored without inhibition of the flow in the conduit extending from a powder-supply source to an ejection nozzle. SOLUTION: In a flux applicator 10 of an example of the powder applicator, a flux-supply source 12 in which flux is held and the ejection nozzle 16 are connected by the connecting conduit 18. The flux supplied from the supply source 12 is ejected with the flow of a carrier gas to an object. The connecting conduit 18 is provided with a noncontact sensor, which detects the state of the flux flowing in the conduit 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
