PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin for a low temperature-processing sheet and film, excellent in processing property at a low temperature, weather resistance, various strength characteristics and uniformity in stretch-processing, and having less natural contraction of the stretched film. SOLUTION: This resin for the low temperature-processing sheet and film consists of a styrene-(meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer as a main component, and has following characteristics of (a) to (g). (a) The polymer consists of 60-97 wt. % bonding unit of styrene-based monomer and 40-3 wt. % bonding unit of (meth)acrylic acid ester-based monomer. (b) The polymer has 150,000-550,000 range weight average-molecular weight. (c) The polymer contains <8% polymer component having≤50,000 molecular weight in the polymer. (d) The polymer contains <500 ppm residual styrene-based monomer in the polymer. (e)The polymer contains <500 ppm residual (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer in the polymer. (f) The polymer contains 1,000-6,500 ppm range low molecular weight component having 250-400 molecular weight and containing at least one bonding unit of styrene or of (meth)acrylic acid ester contained in the polymer.
