PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermocouple protective tube for a garbage incinerator having high heat conductivity, high-temperature creep resistance, and corrosion resistance by using sintered silicon carbide under atmospheric pressure which is free from free Si, chemically stable, and dense.
