PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system for a motorcycle to improve the engine output. SOLUTION: This exhaust system is used together with a 4-stroke engine having first and second cylinders. These cylinders produce exhaust pulses at time intervals not uniform to each other. The exhaust system comprises a muffler, a first exhaust pipe to connect the muffler to the first cylinder, and a second exhaust pipe to connect the muffler to the second cylinder. The size and the shape of the first and second exhaust pipes are determined so as to carry the exhaust pulses to the muffler at time intervals uniform to each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
