<p>Automobile fuel line parts having a steel base material and, applied on the surface thereof, a multilayer plating layer having a chromate coating layer as an uppermost layer, characterized in that the multilayer plating layer comprises a Zn-Ni alloy plating film as a lowermost layer, a zinc plating film as an intermediate layer, and a trivalent chromate coating film as an uppermost layer. The parts are free of hexavalent chromium and have a surface protecting coating film comprising trivalent chromium and also having a surface exhibiting improved smoothness.</p> |
