<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of easily synchronizing images and sounds with each other. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing part 51 constituting the image processor 50 is provided with an image memory having storage areas corresponding to image display areas. The image processing part 51 generates image data to be displayed on a liquid crystal display device 400 under the control of a CPU 10, stores the generated image data in an image memory 52 and outputs the image data to the device 400 synchronously with scanning. The image processing part 51 writes sound data in a storage area corresponding to a blank period for switching horizontal scanning on a liquid crystal display device in a process for writing the image data in the image memory 52.
