PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor of an air conditioner for a vehicle not needing a large space, and capable of preventing the generation of noise and vibration by preventing the compression of liquid refrigerant in starting. SOLUTION: This compressor is used in a refrigerating cycle of the air conditioner for the vehicle to compress the refrigerant. A peltier element combination 10 having peltier elements 11, 12 and a heat radiating fin 13 is mounted in a state of fixing the heat radiating fin 13 to a casing 1 to heat and evaporate the liquid refrigerant remaining in the casing 1 of the compressor. A controller 14 is connected to the peltier element combination 10 for energizing the peltier elements 11, 12 only for a predetermined time in starting the compressor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
