PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem in an ice-cream freezer comprising a vapor compression refrigerating system provided with a refrigerant compressor, a condenser, an evaporator and a main valve for injecting refrigerant liquid into the evaporator wherein the compressor frequently stops. SOLUTION: Temperature-pressure values of the refrigerant liquid in an outlet of the evaporator are measured, a flow of hot gas at an outlet of the compressor is bypassed on the basis of the values, and a refrigerant gas flow is controlled and monitored so that bypassed refrigerant gas is sent to an area between the main valve and the evaporator.
