PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing unit facilitating the assembling, eliminating the leakage of lubricating oil, and having superior reliability and to provide a motor having the bearing unit. SOLUTION: This bearing unit 110 is provided with a rotary shaft 60, a radial bearing 114 supporting the rotary shaft 60 rotatably in the radial direction, a thrust bearing 124 supporting the rotary shaft rotatably in the thrust direction, and a resin housing 116 storing and retaining the radial bearing 114 and the thrust bearing 124 and having a radial clearance H toward the rotary shaft 60. The resin housing 116 is provided with the clearance H in the side of one end part, a cylindrical first member 140 having an opening part in the other end part in the opposite side of one end part, and a second member 143 for closing the opening part in the other end part of the cylindrical first member 140.
