DROPLET POLYMERIZATION METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING MOLECULAR IMPRINT POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet polymerization method for synthesizing a molecular imprint polymer(MIP) with good efficiency. SOLUTION: The method provides a monomer-template interaction in the absence of a suspending medium and enables formation of the MIP with advantages of selectivity and an essential processing for the template molecule increased by the interaction. The method is especially valuable for isolating an isoflavone from a soybean whey. These imprint polymers have an increased surface area useful for adsorption or a catalytic reaction.
