PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder and granule feeder which feeds powder and granule accurately in a large volume with less and quickly stopping afterdrippings. SOLUTION: A hopper containing the powder and granule has a nozzle 3, in which an auger screw 4 connected to an auger driving shaft is arranged. A rotatable shutter 15 is fitted on the front end of the auger screw 4. A sleeve 14 having a front end opening 14a is provided on the outside of the front end of the nozzle 3, and a tapered part 15a of the periphery of an approximately conical shape of the shutter 15 is brought in full contact with the front end opening 14a. The auger shaft is a spline shaft, and is moved up and down by a cylinder and rotated with an auger shaft motor. A gap s is formed between the opening 14a and the shutter 15 when the auger screw 4 is lowerd, while the tapered part 15a of the shutter closes the opening 14a when the auger screw is raised.
