PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple bookbinding appliance for a twin ring for easily performing bookbinding work without requiring an installation place. SOLUTION: The simple bookbinding appliance 100 binding a plurality of papers by pressing and deforming the twin ring inserted in the hole of paper is equipped with an anvil 21, a press part 50 for pressing the twin ring to bring the same into contact with the anvil 21, a power transmission part 40 for slidably moving the press part 50 and an operation part 30 for slidably moving the power transmission part 40. At this time, the power transmission part 40 is moved along the longitudinal direction of the twin ring and the press part 50 is moved in the direction vertical to the longitudinal direction of the twin ring. Further, a rack 41 and a pinion 31 are meshed to convert the rotary motion of the operation part 30 to the slide motion of the power transmission part 40 and the slide direction of the power transmission part 40 and the slide direction of the press part 50 are converted by inclined surfaces 42a-42c and 52a-52c.
