PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method of recording additional information with high reliability in a high-density disk. SOLUTION: This disk drive system is provided with a recording/reproduction area in which recording/reproduction of first data recorded by a rewritable or write once recording system and reproduction of a second data recorded by the wobbling of a groove can be performed. The second data includes address information and the additional information. In the second data, the additional information is encoded by a first error correction system and furthermore, the encoded additional information and the address information are recorded in a state of being encoded by a second error correction system.
