PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide contents to another communication terminal equipment owned by a user even when it is impossible for portable terminal equipment to download the contents. SOLUTION: This contents providing system is provided with an acquiring part 6d for acquiring the memory capacity of portable terminal equipment at transmitting the contents, a calculating part 6d for calculating the data amounts of contents, a selecting part 6d for comparing the data amounts of the contents with the memory capacity, and for selecting either the portable terminal equipment or PC terminal equipment based on the comparison result, and a providing part 6c for providing the contents to the selected equipment.
