<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread wound golf ball which is excellent in a carry while holding spin performance and a struck ball feeling. <P>SOLUTION: In a solid center and the thread wound golf ball in which thread rubber is wound round the solid center and furthermore is coated with a cover, the ratio (FC/FB) of the primary natural frequency (FC) of the solid center to the primary natural frequency (FB) of the golf ball meets the following formula. 0.95≤FC/FB≤1.10, where the solid center has a primary natural frequency (FC) of 750 to 1,000 Hz and a deformation (mm) of 2.7 to 4.3, obtained from a state of applying a load of 98 N to that of applying load of 1,274 N. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
