PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rise and fall characteristics of each waveform in an output differential signal. SOLUTION: An LVDS (low voltage differential signaling) driver supplies a direct current from a dc power supply 8 to a first series circuit 7a having first and second switching elements and to a second series circuit 7b having third and fourth switching elements, applies the inverted signal of an input signal to the first and fourth switching elements, applies a non-inverted signal to the second and third switching elements, and extracts output signal lines 2a and 2b for supplying a differential signal to an external receiving part from the connection points of the first and second switching elements and of the third and fourth switching elements. In addition, the LVDS driver is provided with an edge detection circuit 13 for detecting an edge of the input signal and outputting a pulse-shaped edge detection signal, a variable dc power supply 16 for supplying an auxiliary direct current in common to the first and second series circuits only for a period for outputting the edge detection signal, and a current control terminal 18 for adjusting an auxiliary direct current value for supplying the auxiliary direct current to the first and second series circuits.
