PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which is excellent in practicality and reliablility capable of eliminating electromagnetic interference problems. SOLUTION: The fixing device is provided with a heating roller 101, a coil 111 which is provided in the roller 101 to generate high frequency magnetic field and capacitors 123 and 125 which are used to form resonance circuits with the coil 111. The circuits are used to successively (alternatively) excite a plurality of frequencies (f1-▵f) and (f1+▵f) in the vicinity of a resonance frequency f1 of the circuits. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
