PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oligofluorenylene compound which provides an organic light-emitting element exhibiting a luminescent hue of extremely excellent purity, having high efficiency, high luminance and long-life optical output. SOLUTION: The oligofluorenylene compound is represented by formula (1) (X<SP>1</SP>-X<SP>4</SP>are each a substituted or nonsubstituted alkyl group, aralkyl group, aryl group, heterocyclic group or the like; X<SP>1</SP>, X<SP>2</SP>, X<SP>3</SP>and X<SP>4</SP>are mutually bonded to form a ring; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each H, a substituted or nonsubstituted alkyl group, aralkyl group or aryl group; n is an integer of 1-20).
