PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide the interior of a casing into a low pressure chamber and a high pressure chamber by utilizing a housing for supporting a drive shaft, thereby reducing the cost, separating the oil, preventing the heating by discharge gas of compression element, retaining the precision of positioning of the housing in the casing, and improving the positioning rigidity without increasing the size of the casing. SOLUTION: The interior of the casing 1 is divided into a compression element chamber 61 operating as a low pressure chamber 71 and a motor chamber 62 operating as a high pressure chamber 72. An inner discharge pipe 15 in communication with a discharge port 21a of the compression element FC is made to extend through the housing 4 so as to be opened in the high pressure chamber 72. The housing 4 is secured to a second casing 12 which forms the high pressure chamber 72. A load reception portion 9 for receiving pressure load applied to the housing 4 is provided in a first casing 11 which forms the low pressure chamber 71. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
