PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for providing map information having a display reduced-scale which is easier to be utilized by a user corresponding to the kind of the location concerning a requested location when displaying a map corresponding to the own position of the mobile radio terminal user. SOLUTION: Information on the utilization state of the position spot and map data having a reduced scale corresponding to the utilization state are retained correlatively with position data in a map information database for transmitting the map data around the position of own position information of the mobile radio terminal to the mobile radio terminal.
