Roller skate of adjustable length comprises a chassis (10) with a sliding track (17) on an upper region, a number of wheels (11) on a lower region, and a two-part upper shoe construction (14) consisting of a shoe cap (140) for the toes and a shoe cap (141) for the heel which each have a fixing region (123) and a sliding region (16) in the lower region. The sliding region corresponds to the sliding track. The skate also has at least one adjusting element (120) arranged on one side of the chassis which can be pressed to release the fixing region of the shoe caps so that the shoe caps move on the upper region of the chassis to adjust the longitudinal dimensions of the skate.
