APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PUMPING SEAWATER FOR LNG REGASIFICATION VESSEL

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for pumping seawater for a liquefied natural gas regasification vessel are provided to perform ballast and regasification function at the ship including a regasification device using a pump as a seawater supply system. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for pumping seawater for a liquefied natural gas(LNG) regasification vessel is composed of a seawater inlet(12), a seawater supply pump(20), an evaporator(30) for evaporating the LNG using the seawater as a heat exchange medium, a tubing system(40), and a seawater heater(50) for increasing the temperature of the seawater introduced into the evaporator. The seawater supply pump is connected to the seawater inlet and supplies the seawater to a ballast tank and the evaporator. The tubing system consists of a first delivery line(42) for delivering the seawater to the ballast tank and a second delivery line(44) for delivering the seawater to the evaporator.
