PURPOSE: Provided is a fiber reactive dye of dark red, particularly cinnabar red color suitable to be used to dye or print a cellulose fiber, which has excellent adsorption and fixing rate and fastness. CONSTITUTION: The fiber reactive red dye is represented by the formula 1, wherein R1 is a C1-C4, substituted or unsubstituted, linear or branched alkyl group, an optionally substituted aryl group or hydrogen atom; each of X1 and X2 is independently a halogen, hydroxy, carboxy, cyanine, hydrogen atom, sulfonate or C1-C4 alkoxy group; Y is a halogen, hydroxy, 3-carboxypyridin-1-yl, 3-carbamoylpyridin-1-yl, a C1-C4 alkoxy group, a C1-C4 alkylthio group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, or a N-heterocyclic group which may further comprises a heteroatom; Z is a group having the formula 2, wherein U is a vinyl group or CH2-CH2-Q in which Q is a leaving group that is removable under alkaline conditions; each of n1 and n2 is independently a number of 0-4; and n3 is 0 or 1, provided that -(SO3H)n3 is a hydrogen atom, when n3 is 0; provided that n1 is 0 and X1 is a hydrogen atom, when -(CH2)n1-X1 and -(CH2)n2-X2 are different; X2 is not a hydrogen atom, when each of n1 and n2 is 0 and X1 is a hydrogen atom; and X2 is not a carboxy group, when n1 is 0, n2 is 2 and X1 is a hydrogen atom.
