PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for fabricating a branch line for a long line are provided to automate the fabrication of a rope by using a machine thereby improving accuracy and productivity thereof. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for fabricating a branch line for a long line comprises a rotative unit(10) installed with plural sets of rotative hooks including a pair of yarn hooks, a fixing unit(20) installed with a plurality of fixing hooks corresponding to the rotative hooks in a one to one ratio, a yarn cutter(30) installed adjacent to the front surface of the rotative unit, and a transfer table(22) under the fixing unit.
