PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image processing method by which noise is reduced while keeping or improving an image quality even when an image is moved. SOLUTION: The image processing method has two or more kinds of noise reduction steps with respect to an input image signal, detects a moving amount of the image and a correlative quantity among a plurality of frames with respect to a prescribed feature amount from the input image signal and reduces the noise by controlling two or more kinds of noise reduction steps according to the detected result. Thus, even while the image moves, the noise is reduced while keeping or improving the image quality. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
