PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an operation of remote equipment by mobile equipment. SOLUTION: A personal computer (PC) 21 is connected via the Internet 6, and the mobile equipment is connected to the Internet 6. Data containing a command for setting an operation of an audio visual system 5 for domestic use are transmitted from the mobile equipment, and the data are received by the PC 21. An interface box 25 generates an infrared signal based upon a command from a PC 22 and operations of respective pieces of equipment comprising the audio visual system 5 are set by the interface box 25.
