The printing press has a jacket sheet (6.8) forming the sheet guide surface (6.7) and an intermediate cavity (6.9) between this surface and the cylinder body (6.1). A spacer (6.10, 6.11) bridges this cavity. There are air scoops on the endfaces of the cylinder body which guide the air through the intermediate cavity.
