<p>The invention relates to a method for controlling the quality variables (50) of a fibre web (W) in a shoe nip calender (1) comprising at least one shoe roll (2) and a counter roll (3), with a roll nip (N) between these, whereby the tilt of the shoe element is used in the control of the quality variables (50) of the fibre web.
