PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly fix a holder to a key body inseparably from the key body when molding a cover in the key constituted of a metallic key body, a communication means, a holder having the built-in communication means and retaining it and attached to the key body, and a synthetic resin made cover connected to the key body by insert-molding the whole body of the holder and a part of the key body. SOLUTION: The holder 23 constituted of a first retention member 24 coming into contact with one face 21b1 of the key body 21 and a second retention member 25 retaining the key body and other items by putting the communication means 22 between the first and second retention members while coming into contact with the other face 21b2 of the key body, makes the first and second retention members 24, 25 engage to mutually attach them to the key body 21.
