PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify information to be printed on a paper medium in a voice reproducing device which links the paper medium with a voice. SOLUTION: The voice reproducing device is provided with a storage medium reception means to which a storage medium wherein a database having a plurality of voice data recorded is stored is inserted, an optical read means for optically reading discrimination information printed on the paper medium, a read means for accessing the database stored in the storage medium on the basis of the discriminated information read by the optical read means to read voice data corresponding to the discrimination information, and a vice reproducing means for converting outputting the voice data read by the read means to a voice signal and outputting the voice signal.
