PORTABLE MUSIC LISTENING TERMINAL AND SCANNER DEVICE COUPLED WITH THE SAME

PURPOSE: A portable music listening terminal and a scanner device coupled with the same are provided to add electronic dictionary functions to a terminal for listening music and a scanner device for inputting characters. CONSTITUTION: A portable music listening terminal is coupled with a scanner device integrally or detachably via a wire. The scanner device recognizes input characters and display dictionary information according to the input characters to an information display window. A scanning part(10) reads documents. A character recognizing part(20) recognizes the input characters by the operation of the scanning part. A dictionary data base(30) stores dictionary information. An external control signal is input via a key input part(40) by a user. A microprocessor(50) searches the dictionary data base for the characters recognized by the character recognizing part to convert the characters to character and/or audio signals. An audio output part(70) outputs the converted audio signals.
