<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a visual display according with a beat mode to a pad body in an electronic percussion instrument which generates a music sound signal in response to detection of a beat to the pad body. <P>SOLUTION: Fixed contacts 62 and 64 and a LED light source 65 are provided on the upper face of a flexible substrate 6 of a circular pad storage part 1. Eight light emitting bodies, in total, which are transparent in a certain degree and have elasticity and are formed into bodies of revolution are arranged on the peripheral edge part of a pad outer surface body 2. Recessed faces 52a of light converging parts 52 of the light emitting bodies 5 are coated with a white paint 52c. Intensities of emitted light in light transmission parts 51 of the light emitting bodies 5 are changed by change of distances between the light converging parts 52 and the LED light source 65 at the time of a beat to the pad outer surface body 2. A mobile contact 61 is brought into contact with the fixed contact 62 to turn on a first switch SW1 in response to a beat having a certain degree of strength, and a mobile contact 63 is brought into contact with the fixed contact 64 turn on the switch SW2 together with the first switch SW1 in response to a beat having a higher strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
