PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a autocatalytic type electroless gold plating liquid which does not contain cyanogen compounds, has reduced toxicity and can continuously apply thick gold plating. SOLUTION: As a liquid stabilizer, a compound containing an aromatic carboxyl group is added to an electroless gold plating liquid containing a chloroaurate as a gold source free from cyanogen compounds, mercaptosuccinic acid as a complexing agent for a gold salt, 2-aminoethanethiol as a reducing agent and potassium dihydrogen phosphate as a buffering agent, so that the self-catalyst type electroless gold plating liquid having reduced toxicity and capable of continuously applying thick gold plating can be obtained.
