<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and an apparatus which can efficiently treat a large amount of waste materials, such as shredder dust, copresent with incombustibles and combustibles at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment method for the waste materials comprises a distillation process step of housing the waste materials, such as the shredder dust, mingled with the incombustibles and the combustibles into a dry distillation still (2) with a cap (1), then heating the waste materials from outside while maintaining the atmosphere therein at an approximately oxygen-free state and treating the dry distillation gas generated from the still (2), a cooling process step of cooling the still (2) in a hermetic state after the end of the dry distillation process step, and a discharging and separating process step of opening the cap of the cooled still (2) to discharge residual slag and separating the waste materials to carbide of the combustibles and the incombustibles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
